Tell Me Tuesday #9

It's that time of the week again--time for Tell Me Tuesday here at Vintage Pollyanna!

But before we get started, I want to share with you this photo I took the other morning. I was up early and my little girl, Ella, said "Moon, Mommy! Moon!" and she pointed out the window. I looked, and sure enough, saw a sliver of moon way up high above the treetops. I raced for my camera and . . .

It was a beautiful moment, one of the times that I call a gift. Just a simple moment in time, holding my daughter's hand and looking at the moon through her wide eyes.

I tell you this because my life feels a little out-of-balance right now since I lost my consulting job. I find myself at a crossroads. Do I go back to work full-time, (I am interviewing this week for a DREAM JOB) or do I stay at home and consult (those jobs are hard to come by) or do I really concentrate on the blog and sponsorships as a primary income?

As far as the latter is concerned, I want to say thanks to a few people, including the ladies at Three Sisterz, Tracie at Cleverly Inspired, and Marian at Miss Mustard Seed. I have been asking questions and soliciting feedback like crazy and these women have been very helpful. THANKS!

In the end, that moment and that photograph really helped me to clear my mind, prioritize, look up, and B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Does that mean I have come to a conclusion? Heck no, but it's a great photo, right?

Let's get back to the party and talk about my faves from last week. Here's a FABULOUS Card Wallet Tutorial from Katie over at Eye Spy DIY. The fabric is so adorable, and the step-by-step instructions are great. I may be trying this one!

I have to make these cute Upcycled Organizers from Yesterday on Tuesday. I think the one that is made with sweater material is my favorite! Malia's photography is gorgeous, too.

But my fave from last week? Just out of sheer madness? The choice is clear, these Faux Metal Wall Art pieces from Suzy's Artsy Crafty Sitcom are the winner. Why do you ask? Sure they are beautiful, but wait until you read the tutorial and find out that these are made from TOILET PAPER TUBES!

Seriously. That Suzy. I think she might be a little nuts. She is also pretty new to my party, so I am excited to have such a talent joining us!

If I featured you as a fave, please grab my button for your blog and CONGRATS!

Now on to the party!

We had 35 entries last week and the number keeps growing! Share the link party on Facebook, tell your friends, and feel free to blog about it if you want--the exposure helps us to keep the inspiring ideas flowing!

Be sure to grab a button and include it in your post, and leave me a comment to let me know how you found me.

  1. What a sweet thank you! I loved that you put that out there asking for input. It was great to brainstorm ideas. I think a lot of us moms go through the same transition after/during raising our children. I certainly have. I can't imagine going back to teaching! I love what I'm doing now but am still exploring all options. Your request for feedback really got me thinking about what I want to do too. I can't imagine where I'd be if it weren't for blogging. Keep up the good work and looking forward to watching to see what you come up with!!

  2. I totally told my mom about Suzy's wall art. It was just the most AMAZING thing ever.

  3. Hi! I'm a newbie blogger and just found your site through Flexible Dreams. I tried to add you to my link party list, but the code above keeps posting the whole box with the code in it. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? I'll try again tomorrow. BTW, I'm hosting my first party on Thursday, I'd love you have you! www.thrifty101.blogspot.com

  8. Thanks for the invite...

In regards to your life choices... maybe, losing your job was a blessing in disguise? Maybe the universe has something else in store...

Once, when I was at a crossroads, a friend gave me a fortune cookie saying in a frame, "There is still time to take a different path"...

    Best wishes to you! {I added your party to my link list and became a follower as well}

  9. Thanks for all of your wonderful sentiments!! And look, as I write this, we have 48 entries in the Tell me Tuesday party, so two more and next week I will host a fun give-a-way!
